Get to know Lupine Studios

Growing up surrounded by the mountains and forests of British Columbia, my clothing has always been infused with nature. Inspiration drawn from the colours, textures, and fibres of the earth sits at the heart of my work.

I focus on enhancing timeless designs, creating garments that are meant to be lived in, repaired, and passed down.

Sustainability doesn’t need to sacrifice uniqueness and individuality. My clothing is lovingly designed to bring joy to the wearer while making the earth just as happy.

My Story

I grew up freeride skiing and downhill mountain biking in the Sea to Sky corridor in British Columbia, Canada. During my childhood, I spent all of my time outdoors, soaking in the beauty that the earth has to offer. It has massively shaped the person I am today. In my short little life, I have seen firsthand the effects of climate change, and already in my 20s, my ski and bike seasons are very different from how they were when I was a child.

In 2022, I had a skiing accident that left me with a knee injury and a lot of time on my hands. I started learning about the horrors of the fast fashion industry, and the more I learned, the more I needed to keep learning. I, like anyone who doesn’t know, didn’t understand how big the fashion industry is. I didn’t realize just how polluting and unethical it is. This realization drove me to fall in love with secondhand fashion and thrift-flipping/upcycling clothing.

Sewing my own clothes became a way for me to reject the fast fashion brands that I once loved. I decided that I have to be a part of the positive change that the industry needs. I studied fashion design and obtained a diploma, along with all the knowledge I need to support my passion and start a brand fueled by my values.

My goal as a brand is to be another option for a sustainable Canadian clothing brand. The more brands, designs, and options that are out there to appeal to different people, the better.

My goal as a designer is to make earth-friendly clothing that doesn’t sacrifice style and uniqueness. Lupine Studios isn’t the same sustainable basics that are already out there; it’s fun and cute clothing that also puts sustainability at the forefront.

My goal as a human is to educate others through Lupine Studios on why sustainable fashion is so important. I want to help change people’s shopping habits and the way they view their clothing. Every garment has a story, so let’s keep writing.
